From early June through the end of August, every Thursday the streets and squares of Sondrio fill with cultural events and entertainment for residents and visitors alike. Sondrio Estate 2026 is back, and this year's edition is one of the most packed yet.
The official programme runs seven Thursday evenings from 25 June to 6 August, with additional events organised before and after by the local traders' association. Scattered throughout: live music, dance, markets, guided tours, family-friendly activities, and aperitivo evenings featuring the "Spritzolo", a Nebbiolo-based spritz that has become one of the city's summer signatures, alongside nights dedicated to 100% Valtellina food and flavours.
Among the most anticipated highlights is "Danza è estate", featuring two special guests: Carola Puddu, a dancer trained at the Paris Opéra, and Marcello Sacchetta, choreographer and one of the most recognisable faces of Italian television.
If you're planning a trip to Sondrio this summer, Piazzi House is a short walk from the historic centre: you can reach every event on foot, leave the car in the private underground car park and come back whenever you like, on your own terms. For a weekend or for a few weeks.
